Paying for lessons in Kazakhstan: Kaspi, cards and instalments

How a course expects to be paid says something about who built it. Airim ELC takes payment the way families here already pay for everything else.

How a language course expects to be paid says something about who built it. A course that only takes a foreign card or a bank transfer was not built with a village in the Turkistan Region in mind. Airim ELC takes payment the way most families here already pay for everything else.

Kaspi is the most straightforward option: lessons paid in tenge, through the app almost every family in Kazakhstan already has, with no bank visit and no currency conversion to think about. For a family in Koksayek or Shymkent, this is usually the fastest path from deciding to actually starting.

Kaspi's own instalment option splits a payment over three months without a separate loan or a bank involved, which matters for a course priced per student rather than off a fixed list. A family committing to a course can spread the cost rather than finding it all in one month.

A card works too, charged monthly rather than for a whole term at once, and can be cancelled before the next month starts. Nobody here is locked into six months of lessons because a card was charged for six months upfront.

Companies sending five or more employees, for staff IELTS or business English, pay against a single invoice instead of collecting five separate cards or Kaspi payments from five separate people. It is the one payment path built for an employer rather than a family.

None of this replaces an actual number. A price is quoted per student, over WhatsApp, based on the format, the group size, the frequency, and the city, and payment is arranged once that number is agreed, not before.
